Y mae Erthygl 4 y Cytundeb ar Hawliau’r Plentyn yn ymwneud â’r mesurau sydd i’w cymeryd gan Bleidiau’r Wladwriaeth i weithredu’r Cytundeb:

Dylai llywodraethau ofalu bod yr hawliau hyn ar gael i blant*

* Y mae’r testun hwn yn dod o fersiwn gryno o’r Cytundeb yn unig. Nid yw testun llawn y Cytundeb wedi’i gyfieithu i’r Gymraeg.  Fodd bynnag, y mae cyfieithiad Saesneg yr erthygl hon fel a ganlyn:

"States Parties shall undertake all appropriate legislative, administrative, and other measures for the implementation of the rights recognized in the present Convention. With regard to economic, social and cultural rights, States Parties shall undertake such measures to the maximum extent of their available resources and, where needed, within the framework of international co-operation."
